I realize that my interest in sharing about my children exceeds almost everybody’s interest in hearing about them. Feel free to move away from this blog and on to the next, or just click that little red X in the upper right corner. Read at your own discretion, by all means. Because if talking, or writing, about my children is wrong, then I don’t want to be right. I’ve said before that Celia deserves to be chronicled in song and legend for centuries to come. The same goes for her little brother.
Celia had a rough start to the week. Really rough. Scary rough. But the past couple of days, she's been passing out smiles the kind we haven't seen in what feels like ages, the kind that help us remember she's a child, not a disease, the kind that push away our pain because, if even for a moment, it seems as though hers is gone. She was always such a good smiler.

And this week, Tucker got his first tooth. Boy, did he earn it. It doesn't really affect his smile yet. He shares perfect smiles in the manner his sister began, open-mouthed and often. His smile will always remind us of hers. It's the kind of smile we'll never be sick or tired of.

ummm... that's two posts in a row that we have kinda had the same message-- yours of course, is written with far more description and creativity. Your kids look like twins by the way... and I love to read about them.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hold Tucker this weekend! See you guys Saturday!
ReplyDeleteI am NEVER tired of reading about your kids. Never. It makes me feel like I live right next door to you. As though I could look out my kitchen window and see into yours....Pittsburgh doesn't feel so very far away when I let your words wash over me.
ReplyDeleteI tune in just to hear about the two mini-Betzs. Of course I look forward to news about the grown-up Betzs as well but the little ones keep me coming back; them and PJHHs!
ReplyDeleteAhhhh...smiles from your kids....can't think of anything better. I do check in at least once a day for a little Betz children fix (no pressure) and if there isn't a new post, I go back a re-read an old one. You are definitely not wrong!
ReplyDeleteYou just can't "buy" a cute baby smile!

However, if you could buy one...I suggest we "start" the bidding at $7.00.
Nothing sweeter than a baby smile!
ReplyDeleteFor a Celia smile, Poppy John, I'll raise the bid to $10.00!
