Tucker joined ski club this winter. Although he hadn't been on the slopes for a couple years, and admitted to overconfidence and optimism resulting in a really rough first try, he "eavesdropped on a private lesson for a few minutes," rode the lift back to the top and rediscovered success.
He's been having fun every Tuesday night since. It's possible the chartered bus ride and lodge food rank almost as high as the activity itself.
Skiing is undoubtedly challenging, but it seems to cultivate a sense of courage and resiliency. It has definitely cultivated seventh grade friendships.
Rediscovered success. It's a good feeling. Bravo Tucker for eavesdropping and for finding good ways to have fun with friends this winter!
ReplyDeleteTucker,
ReplyDeleteIt appears as though you may choose espionage as a career and live in or near the Swiss Alps.
If this is true, you will be GREAT!
