Eight months in...
He gives leg hugs and wide, open-mouthed kisses.
He chews on drumsticks and glass jars and loves shoes and fans and the fireplace.
He plays "How big is Hank?" and waves Hi.
He climbs stairs and begs for food from big people's plates and has lots of fun in the bathtub.
He says things that sound an awful lot like Dada and Mama, and speaks the solid language of happiness.
I remember that Celia liked shoes, too! I can still picture her trying to chew on one while sitting by your back door when I was visiting.
ReplyDeleteYes, Christen... "shoe" was one of Celia's words...
ReplyDeleteI love Hank's leg hugs, and the sound of his voice, and the look on his face in these pictures!
Christen, would you believe that I actually let Hank hold (and chew on) a shoe long enough to snap a picture last week?! Wait for it ;) And I can almost hear Celie saying "shoe"! I'm guessing if she got anywhere near one I immediately gave her a bath ;)
ReplyDeleteI loved it when Celia touched the shoe I was wearing, smiled and told me what it was. I could show you exactly where this took place. Beautiful memory.
