He doesn't say Mama yet though.

Hank didn't say much for what felt like a fairly long time.

He did a little call and response thing - ba ba BAAA - that was super fun.
And he used several signs - milk and more and please and eat and outside - regularly.  I mean really, he pretty much got everything he wanted slash needed with those.

He makes several animal sounds.
His receptive language is incredible.

And lately, his spoken language has exploded.  He says ball and lollipop and popsicle and stop and bye-bye and down and ice and hat.

Putting this list here gives me permission to forget the details, to make room to remember more practical things, like more popsicles from the store.
It has been incredibly entertaining to watch his brothers teach him new words. They are genuinely thrilled with his every minor achievement.
They are also very curious about what things they said when they were Hank's age.

And because I got lost looking back, some links below that demonstrate samples of language acquisition with the other three.  Also, I clearly need to make a video of Hank speaking!

Shoe was not Celia's only word!

Tolliver's "I love you", SERIOUSLY. I could watch that 100 times.

Way to go Hank! Next up, "mama".
