1 Second Everyday

We have not been very good about recording video of the boys, and in truth, editing clips and compiling short montages requires a fair amount of time.  And we don't seem to have a lot of extra time on our hands.

I've been trying to use the 1 Second Everyday app recently.  The idea of filming super short clips that could combine to show a variety of simple things felt appealing.  I've tried to let go of the idea of getting the "right" second each day, and just aim to get something.  I was obviously better at remembering to grab my phone to film before Hank arrived.  I am hoping it becomes habit again though.  These snippets, below, are from mid January through early March.

spring in their steps

The boys' spring break agenda was fairly simple: catch salamanders.  They headed to Hocking Hills for some outdoor adventuring, while Hank and I stayed home, and it sounds like they caught plenty!  I hated missing it in person, but appreciate seeing - via these images - the way the earth comes back to life this season, the way the boys' spirits come alive outside.

Not a lot of time for words, but

a little bit of a backlog of pictures, so throwing up a bunch for posterity.
