There’s a part of me that looks forward to a time when he doesn’t leave plastic farm animals strewn about, food under his chair, fingerprints on the door. But there’s a greater part of me that knows that someday I’ll miss those things, the evidence of his youth. That's the part of me that enjoyed watching orange juice drip from the countertop today.
And the part of me that wanted these pictures for the album, the part of me that knows they’ll never be as good as the real thing.

That is a lesson all parents should learn...to enjoy what is going on now and not wishing for tomorrow. Some of us were forced into learning that lesson ( :) ) but it's a great lesson to learn!
BTW, how do you do that with your pics...have one part color and the rest B and W? I love it!
Tiffany, we have a Canon PowerShot (it's at least four years old) that has a color accent mode. We just focus on the shade we want to select and the camera does the rest. It's not a fancy camera by any means, but that is a fun feature...
Your botanical garden photos are FABULOUS!
Orange you smart to know that you'll so miss those moments when he's all grown up. You'll have such an amazing digital scrapbook to remember with though!!!
It is something that all of us as parents are torn between. Wanting the less messy times to come, but knowing we will miss these messy times. :)
