a deer, a snake, and two toads

The boys have already made friends with some local wildlife.

closed book

The boys won't be reading on Inglis Avenue any longer.
Their books were some of the last things we boxed up.  And although there's plenty to read at RoRo's house, the Clintonville library was one of the first places we visited after the move.

Hold, please.

We're on the move...

clean up in aisle emotion

You know those times in life when you realize it may be the last time you’re going to do something and everything around you becomes very vibrant?

an incomplete list

Hanky is really good at lots of things!
Here's an incomplete list, at thirteen months:

shooting basketball

reorganizing the pantry

"reading" books to himself

keeping us awake all night

checking gravity (ie dropping things: food from highchair, toys from stroller...)

calmly signing milk and more

opening the refrigerator, and screaming for more milk

escaping the lap belt and standing up in the grocery cart

unpacking boxes

playing the piano

eating markers

sniffing his nose like a rabbit

waving and saying bye-bye
